Tea House Gyoza Fundraiser Lunch

REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Join the Japan America Society of Iowa for an interactive gyoza lunch featuring gyoza generously provided by Ajinomoto! Watch a live demonstration, then roll up your sleeves and learn to stuff, fold, and cook your own gyoza from scratch.
Cost: $50 per person payable via cash or Venmo at the door.
All proceeds benefit the Yamamoto Tea House Reconstruction project.
Volunteers are restoring a traditional Japanese tea house brought to Des Moines by Tomoko Yamamoto and her family during World War II. It is being rebuilt using Japanese carpentry and will become a home for tea ceremony, ikebana, and cultural classes, and a lasting symbol of friendship and peace.
