Whether you're a longtime chili champion, trying your hand at a new recipe, or simply coming to sample and vote for your favorites, there's something for everyone. Every bowl served helps support Variety – the Children's Charity of Iowa and our mission to improve the lives of children who are at-risk, underprivileged, critically ill, or living with special needs.
Year after year, this event brings together more than 200 attendees and dozens of chili entries for one unforgettable afternoon of flavor, fun, and fundraising.
Competition Categories
Traditional Chili: Classic, meat-forward chili - beans optional but encouraged. Think hearty, spicy, and bold.
Non-Traditional Chili: Unique spins like white chicken chili, vegan options, or unexpected ingredients that break the mold.
Corporate Entry: Companies bring the heat! Enter under your organization’s name and compete against fellow businesses.
