TEA AND TANGO by the sea JANUARY 24-26th 2025Hello tangueros/tangueras! Our THIRD Tea and Tango Argentine Tango Weekender is on the 24th to 26th January 2025 with the fabulous Maria Tsiatsiani and Leandro Palou. Join us at the Clifton Park Hotel in Lytham Saint Anne’s on Sea, Clifton Drive South, Lytham FY8 1HN. Please note that the hotel are happy for you to contact them to extend your stay before or after our event with a small deposit. Just a 5 minute walk to sea shore, the hotel is convenient for cafes, bars, art galleries and shops. Easy access by train travel to Saint Anne’s on Sea train station and close to the M6 and M55.
We offer an excellent, intimate and inclusive Tango house-party for 80 dancers in an adult-only, friendly, comfortable hotel 100 yards from the sea front with FULL BOARD delivering great food and tango late into the night with top local and national DJs, from Friday to Sunday. Ballroom/dining room, 49 bedrooms, swimming pool, gym, jacuzzi and several relaxing areas. Delicious food, excellent customer service, 24 hr bar. Please note that rooms are allocated on a first-come/first-served basis, and SINGLE dancers DO NOT PAY EXTRA, but may have to share.
Our aim is to introduce you to authentic Argentine Tango dance, the culture, history and music. Within your journey we help to develop your body awareness, partner connection and expression through the magical art of Tango. You will also meet new friends in an exciting social environment, both in and out of classes. Don’t worry if you don’t have a partner, we change partners regularly to ensure you meet new people and make new friends!
Full weekend pass £250 per person. Full Dance Pass: £95 per person. Leader/follower balanced, please book in couples if possible. Female leaders and dual role dancers very welcome. Workshops and practica time, 2 evening milongas. Please hurry and book to secure your place on this exceptionally social tango event.
Priority is given to full weekend participants but evening milonga passes available £12 Friday and £15 Saturday, CASH ONLY.

ABOUT THE TEACHERS
Maria Tsiatsiani and Leandro Palou started dancing together in 2014 after meeting at a West End Theatre show in London. Their immediate connection made it an easy choice to start a wonderful partnership for performing and teaching. They are best known for their elegant style and technique, but above all they are most popular because of their generous and precise teaching style. Their classes are focussed on embrace, connection, musicality and technique.
Together they are Coaches at TangoChamps, Judges at the FITTA Championships in Buenos Aires, Tango Por Dos Company Dancers, Choreographers, West End Dancers, resident Argentine Tango Choreographers of BBC Strictly Come Dancing and Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, and internationally acclaimed Tango dancers. They have performed in more than 230 cities for international tango festivals, theatre shows, charity events, workshops across Europe, Asia, North and South America and for BBC TV and radio, ITV, and MTV.
Leandro Palou is an Advisor to the prestigious United Kingdom Argentine Tango Association (UKATA). After many successful world tours, Buenos Aires-born dancer Leandro set up his Tango school London Tango Academy in 2003 located in the heart of central London, welcoming complete beginners to creating professional-level couples. the category for best International Aires.
Maria Tsiatsiani is a professional Argentine Tango dancer currently based in London. She started ballet, gymnastics and ballroom at an early age in New York City and competed in Latin Ballroom Nationals for over 10 years. She taught Ballroom at Kingston University. Since meeting her husband Leandro in 2014 she is one of the Directors at London Tango Academy. She is known as an Argentine Tango Choreographer for Strictly Come Dancing and Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two and also as a Strictly Fitness presenter on BBC Morning Live. She is a Founder and Director at Tango Extravaganza - Weekend Dance Breaks UK. She previously was a Company Dancer at Compañía Tango Por Dos de Miquel Angel Zotto, Company Dancer at West End theatre and a Pro Dancer for Argentine Tango at Donaheys Dancing With The Stars Weekends. She was a former Company Dancer at Midnight Tango with Vincent Simone & Flavia Cacace.
