NW1 Theatre School brings to life the beloved songs and moments from the classic story, creating a magical experience for audiences of all ages! "The Wizard of Oz Youth Edition" follows Dorothy Gale, a young girl from Kansas, who is swept away by a tornado to the magical land of Oz. There, she embarks on a journey to find her way back home, meeting a colourful cast of characters along the way. These include the Scarecrow, who longs for a brain; the Tin Man, who desires a heart; and the Cowardly Lion, who seeks courage. Together, they travel the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City to meet the mysterious and powerful Wizard of Oz.
Throughout their adventure, they face various challenges, including the wicked Witch of the West, who is determined to get her hands on Dorothy’s magical ruby slippers.
With the help of her new friends and the good witch Glinda, Dorothy learns that the power to return home was within her all along, encapsulated in the timeless lesson: “There’s no place like home.”
