About this Event
As parents, grandparents, caregivers and whānau, many of us have found ourselves wondering:
"Why are they doing that?"
But what if we asked a different question?
"What might they be trying to tell us?"
Te Reo o te Taiao, Te Reo o Ngā Tamariki is a kaupapa born from lived experience, mātauranga Māori, and years of walking alongside tamariki and whānau.
Together we will explore how the natural world can help us better understand the diverse ways tamariki experience, communicate, and move through the world.
This is not about labels.
This is not about fixing tamariki.
It is about making the invisible visible, recognising strengths, understanding needs, and deepening our connection with the tamariki in our lives.
Whether you are a parent, grandparent, caregiver, auntie, uncle, or someone wanting to better understand the tamariki in your life, this wānanga is for you.
☕ Morning tea and lunch provided
📍 Adults only (please arrange care for tamariki)
🎟 Registration is essential as spaces are limited.
Hosted by Kaimanawa Charitable Trust.
