TCEC Mission
The TriAxis Community Engagement Collective brings together interdisciplinary scientific expertise to strengthen community understanding, build trust, and translate complex information into clear, practical knowledge. We collaborate with colleges, clinics, and local organizations to design public engagement initiatives that bridge gaps in health literacy, science communication, and everyday decision-making. Our mission is to empower communities through accessible, evidence-based education that supports healthier lives and stronger connections between science and the public.
Event Goal(s)
- Increase community awareness of chronic disease risk factors and realistic prevention strategies.
- Demonstrate affordable, culturally relevant healthy eating using locally grown produce.
- Develop strong science communication and community engagement skills among student facilitators.
- Establish a sustainable annual Expo hosted at ABC in partnership with TCEC.
- Translate health and scientific research to the general communities, in collaboration with community partners.
