TBI 303 - Contemporary Issues- Executive Function

TBI 303 IS VALUABLE FOR ANYONE WORKING IN THE SCHOOLS OR WITH YOUR: Counselors, general education teachers, SPED teachers, Transition Specialists in the schools, related service personnel, administrators, support staff, and parents. It is especially valuable for those working with youth in adolescence and young adulthood.

This interactive session will delve into the critical role of executive functioning in academic and professional success. Dr. Wolf will explore the profound impact of early injury on executive function development and provide valuable insights into:

• Assessment Strategies: Learn effective methods for identifying and evaluating executive function deficits.
• Implications for College and Career Readiness: Understand how executive function challenges can influence academic performance and career preparation.
• Strategies for Success: Discover practical strategies to support individuals with executive function impairments in achieving their goals.

The format for the sessions will be a short-format lecture with open discussion, ongoing question and answer sessions throughout, and include interactive opportunities to review relevant assessments and resources.

All materials are provided for this course including PPT handouts, activity sheets, and resources.

A total of 4 contact hours for professional development/continuing education units.

IMPORTANT: This virtual training has been split into TWO days and each day is 2 hours. You will need to attend BOTH DAYS of training to get a spot.

Please note this virtual training has a focus on the Arizona educational system due to the funding source.
