About this Event
Join us on Ocassional Tuesdays at Noon for our Lunch and Learn Series! This month's event is free to both members and the public! Food and beverages are provided but feel free to bring your own lunch!
Our speaker will be Kaleigh Weatherholtz with Elevate Financial Group!
About the workshop: It often starts small: extra help at home, a few appointments, someone stepping in “just for now.” Over time, care becomes more frequent, more expensive, and harder to manage. Savings that were meant to support a surviving spouse can disappear faster than expected, while adult children quietly step into roles they never planned for (coordinating care, covering costs, and making difficult decisions under pressure).
This workshop takes a realistic look at how long‑term care expenses can ripple through an entire family. We’ll explore why many couples don’t realize the financial impact until it’s already happening, how depleted assets can reshape a spouse’s future, and why lack of planning often places emotional and financial strain on children and loved ones. Long‑term care planning isn’t pessimistic; it’s practical. And for most families, the real risk isn’t planning too early, but waiting until the choices are made for you.
About the speaker: Kaleigh Butler is a Financial Planner with Elevate Financial Group and a recent addition to the Montgomery County community, having relocated there in early 2026. Homegrown in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, she is a proud graduate of Musselman High School; she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Financial Economics from Shepherd University. During her academic career, Kaleigh demonstrated exceptional initiative by obtaining her Life and Health Insurance licenses, as well as her Series 7 and Series 66 securities registrations.
Deeply committed to service, Kaleigh and her husband, Samuel, actively support their community through ongoing involvement with the West Virginia Special Olympics. She is also highly engaged with a wide range of civic, faith-based, and charitable organizations, including the Belmont Church Worship Team, Rotary, Loaves and Fishes, Wreaths Across America, the Martinsburg Union Rescue Mission, Abba Care, Berkeley Senior Services, and Meals on Wheels, among many others.
Kaleigh’s dedication to financial stewardship, combined with her passion for community leadership and service, reflects her commitment to making a meaningful and lasting impact both professionally and personally.
