Taste Championship BBQ: Pitmaster Tasting Series at the Museum of BBQ

Back for its second month, this ongoing summer series brings BBQ fans closer to the craft with complimentary tastings of competition-style Prairie Fresh pork and the chance to learn directly from top pitmasters.
The June 13 event features pitmaster Josh DeWitt, showcasing his award-winning Sweet Garlic Rub, named the . Guests will have the opportunity to sample his work and pick up tips and techniques they can use at home.
Created through a partnership between the and —a Kansas City–area, American-owned pork brand—the series highlights a different local competition BBQ team each month, celebrating the people and traditions behind Kansas City’s world-renowned barbecue scene.
In addition to the tasting, guests can explore the immersive Museum of BBQ experience, featuring exhibits that dive into the history, regional styles and cultural significance of American barbecue.
