About Tim O'Hare:

About Phil Sorrells:
Phil Sorrells is the conservative Republican District Attorney for Tarrant County. Since taking office on January 1, 2023, he has remained committed to a simple principle: criminals should be held accountable, victims deserve justice, and public safety must always come first.
A fifth-generation Texan, Phil has devoted his entire legal career to protecting the citizens of Tarrant County. Before being elected Criminal District Attorney, he served for 25 years as Judge of Tarrant County Criminal Court No. 10, where he presided over thousands of criminal cases. During his time on the bench, he transformed one of the county’s busiest courts into one of its most efficient, reducing backlogs while ensuring justice was served fairly and promptly.
Before becoming a judge, Phil served as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney, prosecuting felony offenses ranging from theft and robbery to murder. That experience gave him a firsthand understanding of the impact crime has on victims, families, and neighborhoods and reinforced his belief that the criminal justice system must protect law-abiding citizens while holding offenders accountable.
As District Attorney, Phil leads one of the largest prosecutor’s offices in Texas, working alongside more than 50 law enforcement agencies throughout Tarrant County. Under his leadership, the office has strengthened partnerships with law enforcement, improved efficiency, modernized discovery and evidence-sharing practices, and remained focused on prosecuting violent offenders, organized criminal activity, human trafficking, drug trafficking, child exploitation, and other serious crimes.
Phil believes supporting law enforcement is essential to keeping communities safe. He has consistently backed the officers who put themselves in harm’s way every day and has worked to ensure they have a prosecutor’s office committed to enforcing the law, protecting victims, and pursuing justice with integrity. A graduate of Texas Tech University, Phil earned both his undergraduate degree and his Juris Doctor before beginning his legal career with the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office.
Phil and his wife, Susan, have been married for more than 30 years and have three grown children. They live in Fort Worth and are active members of Cross Church.

About Manny Ramirez:
Manny Ramirez is a native Texan who was born and raised in the heart of Fort Worth. He is a steadfast Christian and married to the love of his life, Fabiola Ramirez. Together they have three beautiful daughters, Sofia, Mia, and Penelope. Manny is an Alumnus of W.E. Boswell High School, Tarleton State University, and Texas Christian University. He has dedicated his life to serving a higher purpose and has protected and served our community as a police officer for over a decade. Manny has served as a Patrol Officer, Gang Enforcement Officer, Hostage Negotiator, Robbery Detective, and Sergeant.
Manny is currently serving as Tarrant County Commissioner, representing more than 600,000 residents in Northwest Tarrant County. Since assuming office in January 2023, Manny has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of the North Texans he serves. He has helped craft the most fiscally conservative budget in Tarrant County history, slashing property taxes below the no-new revenue rate. He secured more than $500 million for transportation and infrastructure projects to build roads before rooftops. And Manny passed the largest increase to law enforcement salaries in Tarrant County history.
Prior to his successful campaign for County Commissioner, Manny served as President of the Fort Worth Police Officers Association, representing more than 1,700 sworn police officers. Manny was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to serve on the Board of Directors for the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV.) In 2017, Manny helped solve the 1.6 billion dollar Fort Worth pension shortfall and crafted a solution that had no negative impact on our taxpayers. Manny fights for taxpayers on the local, state, and national level, ensuring that public safety remains a top priority for our elected lawmakers.
