Join us for a fun and interactive Tanjore painting workshop where you will learn the traditional art form with simple processes, step by step! Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to explore their creative side.

More about the art form :
Tanjore paintings are a traditional Tamil art works that dates back to 1600 C.E. Nayaks of Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu of the bygone era were the chief patrons of this art. Tanjore paintings have a rich gold work with semiprecious / precious stones, vibrant colors, and a devotional composition.
About the artist :
Shalini Gupta, is a proficient artist, trained in India. She has exhibited and sold her paintings worldwide. She has in her portfolio about 100 paintings, which have been highly acclaimed. She teaches Tanjore art, Pichwai art, Indian Miniatures, Kerala mural paintings on an ongoing basis in singapore.
She will introduce a short course of 12, two-hour sessions. All attending will learn the technique of Tanjore painting and complete a beautiful, intricate piece of Tanjore art on a wooden board.
You need not know or have experience before. You will learn to emboss, put gold foil, paint, shade and design as a part of this experience.
Duration: 12 sessions of 2 hours each on Monday/Tuesdays/Wednesday/Thursdays/Saturday and Sunday.
Time: 9:30 am – 11:30 am (tentatively)
