Beginner-friendly Argentine Tango lessons held September 13th, 20th, 27th, and October 4th from 4-5 PM at Los Sabrosos Dance Co., 4909 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh PA. Pre-registration is strongly recommended (https://lspgh.com/tango-classes/)
Taught by Trinidad (Trini) Regaspi and Sean Cosgrove, experts at milonguero-style dancing, who take a natural approach in teaching both body dynamics and choreography development, working with small movements that can then be built into larger figures. Deeply familiar with the main three styles of tango (salon, milonguero, nuevo), they’ve taken the best of those styles to create a solid foundation for dancing.
This class is designed for complete novices plus those looking to refresh their tango basics. We’ll refine our natural movements to build the basic tango figures you’ll use to reflect the music and your mood. These figures and concepts will teach important skills such as developing good partner dynamics, good navigation skills, and musical interpretation. The first several classes will be conducted with no shoes, so thick socks is recommended for the first class.
