PS32 University hosts Talking With Kids About Bodies, Consent, Unsafe Touch + Reproduction Basics parent workshop! For parents of children in grades 3k to 2, this in-person session will be presented by Kate Littman Greenberg of the Puberty Project.
This workshop is designed to equip parents with tools to have meaningful conversations with their children about these important topics. We'll cover how to discuss bodies, consent, recognizing unsafe touch, and reproduction basics. Don't miss out on this valuable opportunity to learn and grow together. This parent workshop is unable to provide child care.
About the Presenter:
Before starting The Puberty Project, Kate was Director of Health Education + Promotion at Lehman College. Before that, she held health and sexuality educator roles at Columbia University and the Teen Choice Program at Inwood House. She has a BA in Education from Indiana University and a master's in Health Ed from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist and a trained Domestic Violence Counselor.
The Puberty Project:
The Puberty Project (formerly School Health Solutions) provides comprehensive puberty and sexuality education to schools in New York City. Students learn about bodies, emotions, and relationships in an inclusive and trauma-sensitive space, and the curriculum for each grade provides opportunities for parent/caregiver engagement.
This event is open to all community members, giving priority to PS32 families.
