Talk: Work Journey with LUAP
About this Event
Humberlands: Work Journey Talk with LUAP
Hear how a Grimsby art student became one of contemporary art's most distinctive voices.
Paul Robinson — known professionally as LUAP — is a British multidisciplinary artist now based in London, whose work spans hyper-realistic oil painting, sculpture, performance, and photography. His work has been shown in prestigious galleries and international art fairs, and acquired by major institutions and private collectors worldwide.
At the centre of his practice is The Pink Bear — a figure rooted in childhood memory and reimagined through CBT, which has become a globally recognised symbol exploring identity, mental health, and the human condition.
In this talk, LUAP will trace his journey from art student in Grimsby to the international stage — the creative process, the business of being an artist, and the workflow behind the work. Expect honest insight into what it actually takes to build a career on your own terms.
If you're serious about developing your practice, this one's worth your time.
