Tales of Terror is a free spooky pop-up event featuring vendors, a book signing, pumpkin painting, and an open mic night.The event is completely free. We have this page up so people can learn about the event and rsvp so we have an idea of how many people plan on attending.
— Vendors + Trunk or Treating: ALL DAY
There will be a small selection of local small businesses and artists selling a variety of products including crocheted animals, stickers, art prints, and so on. There is guranteed to be something for everyone. Each vendor will also be handing out candy whether you're buying something or not.
— Pumpkin Painting: ALL DAY
Bring a friend or two and grab a mini pumpkin to paint. All materials will be provided for free.
— Courtney Gould Book Signing: 3:00-4:30 PM
Courney Gould, author of young adult queer horror (THE DEAD AND THE DARK & WHERE THE ECHOES DIE), will be in attendance. She will be signing books, and then judging a portion of the open mic. There will be copies of her books available for purchase, and there will even be a raffle for some of her books.
— Spooky Open Mic Competition: 5:00 PM
The first portion of our open mic will feature performances that have a spooky, horror, or dark theme to them. After everyone in this portion has finished performing, Courtney Gould, our attending horror author, will choose her favorite and the winner will receive a basket full of goodies, including some from the participating vendors.

— Open Mic Performances: 6:30 PM
The second and final portion of the open mic will feature performances from anyone, regardless of theme. These performances will not be judged. They are just an opportunity for people to put their work out there and have fun.
