The Pacific Martial Arts Conference was formed in 2007 by Shihan Alan Best of Best Martial Arts Institute as an event for martial artists from various disciplines to learn from one another in friendship, and to strengthen the martial arts community in the Pacific Northwest. Each day of PacMAC consists of a series of ten 25-minute mini-courses with teachers of a multitude of martial arts. The spirit of cooperation and respect is a great reflection of the spirit of martial arts as participants train together and learn from one another.

Registration
Pre-registration is not required. You can sign up (and sign a liability release) at the door. You can download and print a liability release from the website for parents to sign if they are not able to attend with their teen.
We request a donation of $20 or more to help with incidental costs associated with running the event. No one is turned away for an inability to pay. A donation drop-box will be at the registration table.
What to wear
Wear your martial arts uniform, or whatever you normally train in. There are dressing rooms available with showers for men and women. We will be training on mats in bare feet, in keeping with facility rules.
What to bring
It is recommended you bring a water bottle and food to snack on during the lunch break.
Please don’t bring valuables, as there will be a lot of people present. Lockers are available. Bring a padlock if you want to secure your belongings.
Conference Atmosphere
There is plenty of room for parents and spectators to sit and talk, or observe the training. Participants are also welcome to step off the mats and take breaks as needed. Beyond the training, this event is about building community. Participants are expected to be respectful of the teachers and students who are training, but a good amount of talking and laughter is required throughout the day!
Come when you can, leave when you must, train as your body allows, and take this opportunity to practice with, and get to know, as many people as possible from all different styles of martial arts.
