Rendez-vous, pour chaque exposition, à un Takeover Thursday éclectique à la Konschthal. Ces événements sont l'occasion de redécouvrir les expositions à travers le regard de nos invités. Chaque soirée est unique — imaginée par des intervenants œuvrant dans des domaines variés, elle s'articule autour de thématiques changeantes, liées aux expositions. À travers des concerts, lectures, rencontres, performances, ateliers, et bien plus encore, la Konschthal se réinvente.
En écho à l'exposition "état bruit", la Konschthal invite Sam Erpelding à imaginer une soirée autour des thématiques qui traversent l’exposition.
Anthrophonic Criticism: Reclaiming Quiet invite les auditeurs à élargir leur perception au-delà de l’écoute humaine et à s’accorder à la manière dont les êtres non humains perçoivent et subissent le bruit produit par l’activité humaine. À travers des performances acousmatiques et des œuvres de sound art environnemental, la soirée explore le bruit omniprésent qui imprègne les paysages sonores de l’Anthropocène — un sous-produit souvent imperceptible de systèmes économiques en expansion.
Cette présence acoustique constante transforme les habitats, influence les comportements et redéfinit ce que nous appelons la « nature sauvage ».
En s’appuyant sur les paysages sonores d’écosystèmes protégés, le programme interroge la manière dont le silence naturel est construit, perdu et potentiellement retrouvé. L’événement ouvre ainsi un espace pour des pratiques d’écoute critique, dans lesquelles le silence n’est pas une absence, mais une forme de résistance physique, d’attention et une ressource renouvelable et partagée de richesse écologique, appelant à la coexistence.

Join us for an eclectic Takeover Thursday for each exhibition at the Konschthal. These events are an opportunity to rediscover the exhibitions through the perspective of our guests. Each evening is unique — conceived by participants working in various fields, it revolves around changing themes related to the exhibitions. Through concerts, readings, encounters, performances, workshops, and much more, the Konschthal reinvents itself.
In response to the exhibition "état bruit", the Konschthal invites Sam Erpelding to create an evening centered around the themes that run through the exhibition.
Anthrophonic Criticism: Reclaiming Quiet invites listeners to expand their perception beyond human listening and to attune themselves to how non-human beings experience and endure human din. Through acousmatic performances and environmental sound art, the evening explores the omnipresent noise that permeates Anthropocene soundscapes – an often-unnoticed by-product of expanding economic systems.
This constant acoustic connotation alters habitats, influences behavior and redefines what we call ‘wilderness`.
By engaging with the soundscapes of protected ecosystems, the programme reflects on how natural quiet is constructed, lost and potentially regained. In this way, the event opens up space for critical listening practices – in which quiet is not absence, but rather represents physical resistance, attentiveness and a renewable, shared resource of ecological wealth that calls for coexistence.

Diese Veranstaltungen bieten die Gelegenheit, die Ausstellungen aus der Perspektive unserer Gäste neu zu entdecken. Jeder Abend ist einzigartig – er wurde von Teilnehmern aus verschiedenen Bereichen konzipiert und dreht sich um wechselnde Themen, die mit den Ausstellungen in Verbindung stehen. Durch Konzerte, Lesungen, Begegnungen, Performances, Workshops und vieles mehr erfindet sich die Konschthal neu.
Als Antwort auf die Ausstellung "état bruit" lädt die Konschthal Sam Erpelding ein, einen Abend rund um die Themen zu gestalten, die die Ausstellung durchziehen.
Anthrophonic Criticism: Reclaiming Quiet lädt das Publikum dazu ein, die eigene Wahrnehmung über das menschliche Hören hinaus zu erweitern und sich darauf einzulassen, wie nicht-menschliche Lebewesen den vom Menschen erzeugten Lärm erfahren und ertragen. Durch akusmatische Performances und umweltbezogene Klangkunst erforscht der Abend den allgegenwärtigen Lärm, der die Klanglandschaften des Anthropozäns durchdringt – ein oft unbemerktes Nebenprodukt wachsender ökonomischer Systeme.
Diese konstante akustische Präsenz verändert Lebensräume, beeinflusst Verhaltensweisen und definiert neu, was wir als „Wildnis“ verstehen.
Durch die Auseinandersetzung mit den Klanglandschaften geschützter Ökosysteme reflektiert das Programm, wie natürliche Stille konstruiert, verloren und möglicherweise wiedergewonnen werden kann. Auf diese Weise eröffnet die Veranstaltung Raum für kritische Hörpraktiken, in denen Stille nicht als Abwesenheit verstanden wird, sondern als physischer Widerstand, als Aufmerksamkeit und als erneuerbare, gemeinsame Ressource ökologischen Reichtums, die ein Zusammenleben ermöglicht.
