Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day 2024: Youth + Family MTB Ride Event!

Trips for Kids Charlotte's mission is to transform lives, communities and landscapes through cycling. In partnership with the Town of Matthews and Tarheel Trailblazers, we are excited to present Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day 2024!

Join us on Saturday, October 5th at Colonel Francis Beatty Park (4330 Weddington Rd, Matthews, NC 28105) from 9 am to 2 pm for Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day (TAKMBD)....a FREE community celebration featuring guided mountain bike trail rides, bike games + skills clinics, snacks, music, raffles, and MORE!

Guided MTB rides are open to youth ages 9-16 (parents, you can join, too!) and will take place at 11 am and 1 pm. A little Bike Rodeo is open for youth under 8. Bike games + crafts will be available for all ages to participate in, making this a fun filled event for the whole family.

Helmets and bikes can be provided (we'll need to know the age and height of each rider to make sure we can provide the correct size)! Please register that information in the https://form.jotform.com/212875712777164 (Jotform event waiver) These trail ride is open to youth riders of ALL skill levels, though basic bike riding skills are needed to participate.
