🌿 Join us as we gather in ceremony to honor Atabey —
Mother Earth, Cosmic Mother, and giver of life. 🌺
Together, we will welcome the Spring season
with a sacred Yuca Planting Workshop and community Areyto —
song, movement, and spirit in harmony. 🪘✨
🌿 Learn how to plant yuca in the traditional way
🌿 Dance, sing, and bless the plants in ceremony
🌿 Take home what we plant together
For the Taíno, Spring begins with the Equinox —
a time of rain, renewal, and gratitude for new life. 🌧️🌱
During this season, Atabey calls us
to plant not only seeds into the Earth…
but into our own lives. 🌿✨

Yukayeke Yara Cu (Tribe of the Sacred Place) is a Taíno community of blood descendants and Guaytiao (friends), proudly serving Central Texas.
Since 2008, our Cultural Center has defended and shared Taíno heritage every day.
