Taiji 37 is a course for everybody!
Whilst many experienced Taiji practitioners participate in Taiji 37 as a swift and direct route to a higher level of understanding, you do not have to be a Taiji (Tai Chi)practitioner to attend. Many of you have, or are, learning Taijiwuxigong(Qigong) with me and Taiji 37 is one of, if not the major root of that practice. You can also be a complete beginner and experience the benefits of this practice.
You can attend live or live online. Please contact [email protected] to book and for your Zoom link if you would like to attend online.
Taiji 37 is a system of the Nanpai or Southern School of Taijiquan which disappeared during the second world war. Taiji 37 has no form only 37 standing postures. Each posture has a specific function and opens specific channels in the body.

SOME FURTHER READING
Originally Taiji(Tai Chi) was created as a martial art for use in combat. Fighters would practice standing postures to activate their dantian
Later, when dantian force flowed freely through their energy channels, skilled fighters could project this force to fight opponents, even at distance
Today, Taiji is practiced more for health, but the forces used for health and healing are the same. Through practice, the mind and body can benefit in various ways, clearing blockages in our energetic pathways (channels) and optimizing our internal vital energy or life force. These forces are innate to us all but are usually dormant. Many Taiji practitioners never experience the sensation of their internal energy and do not know how to discover these Taiji forces All The 37 positions of Taiji 37 are the original stances upon which all Taiji is based. Practicing any one of the standing postures of Taiji 37 will lead to the activation of the dantian and thus to the development of Taijijin (Taiji forces) The main Taijijin to develop are vibration force, spontaneous movement force and mental force. These forces can be used for self- healing and the healing of others.
Through this practice you can begin to understand that there is really no Taiji form as such, only standing postures or stances that flow from one into another through spontaneous movement. We learn how to develop these forces via the stances with the appropriate mental attitude, the right level of concentration and the correct posture. The main reason that the practice of Taiji 37 improves health is that it encourages the release of negative, illness causing factors (Binqi) Pushing the Binqi out of the body via the meridians, helps qi to circulate freely again.
