I went to my first Aikido Summer school before I had even began training. An event of fun, of socialising and also a week long escape from the world and all its stress.Times change and we don't have the 100 or more students to organise residential courses these days but instead we can run a summer event that although smaller, will still provide the immersion in all things Aikido that is such a joy for students of our art.
I'm setting the event up early to gauge interest.
I'm proposing 4 days with a variety of teachers to share the load of classes and to present a range of Aikido.
You can expect:
- Regular Aikido seasoned with Internals
- Internals specific classes
- Weapons classes
- Perhaps a smattering of Tai Chi to ease down at the end of each day
- The best 4 days of Aikido socialising of the year
In addition to the "going", "Interested" clicks could you mail me ([email protected]) to indicate how much of the event you would like to support. This will help with the final decision of 3 or 4 days in length.
Really hoping for lots of interest to help make a fantastic August event.

Costs: Same as last year - £25 per day or £15 if unwaged. £10 for Juniors.
For half a day: £15 per day or £10 if unwaged. £5 for Juniors
All 4days: £85 or £55 if unwaged. £35 for Juniors
