TAFE NSW - Information session for Cultural Arts – Katoomba
Join us on campus for an information session on Cultural Arts courses offered by TAFE NSW at the Katoomba campus!
Our Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural arts courses reflect the richness and diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultures and Nations. Apply your cultural identity to your practice, expand your knowledge of artistic techniques from across the state as well as apply historical knowledge specific to your chosen region. You'll learn a range of art practices such as painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, mixed media and photography. Learn to apply your artistic expression to a range of different situations.
You'll have the opportunity to select and prepare your work for exhibition, collaborating with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural artists while establishing your own identity as an artist. Develop your understanding of your Local Aboriginal Nation or choose to study at a different location to expand your cultural knowledge of other NSW Aboriginal Nations.
Receive guidance and support from industry experts who are focused on the Local Aboriginal Nation on which you’re studying. If you're living off Country, TAFE NSW staff will support you to connect with your cultural links and homelands.
