Tactical Shotgun
Mastering the ultimate home defense weapon
This class is designed to quickly bring students to a high level of proficiency in the art of using a shotgun for personal or home defense
Topics covered include:
Firearms safety, including considerations specific to shotguns
Selection of the fighting shotgun
Effective modifications and accessories
Ammunition selection and patterning for optimal performance
Proper loading and shooting techniques
Rapid target acquisition
Methods to reduce the recoil of the shotgun
Safe storage and ready conditions
Care and maintenance
Students will need a reliable pump action or semi-automatic shotgun. The shotgun must have a shoulder stock, and a barrel length of 20 inches or shorter. Please, no detachable magazine-fed shotguns.
Students will need 125 rounds of birdshot.
While there are no pre-requisites for this course, students should be able to safely operate their shotguns (Load, unload, fire) before attending this class.
We have loaner shotguns available. Let us know if you will need one in advance.
