Taboo at Sunset: A City Showcase Experience
About this Event
Taunting Taboo is taking the experience outside!
For one night, we’re stepping beyond our signature luxury aesthetic and creating something raw, soulful, artistic, and unforgettable; an outdoor showcase designed to highlight the voices, sounds, and creative energy of Birmingham.
Set inside Elysian Gardens, a 10,000-square-foot outdoor bar, live music venue and sculpture garden in Birmingham’s Avondale Entertainment District, this experience blends live entertainment, open-air, art, local vendors, food, drinks, and community.
Guests can expect an intimate but electric night featuring poets, singers, musicians, authors, and artists, all brought together through live musical curation led by Musical Director, Dee Hill, a respected Birmingham-based R&B, blues, and soul pianist/keyboardist and 2026 Alabama Blues Hall of Fame inductee.
This is not your average open mic.
It’s a grown, soulful, outdoor showcase where Alabama talent gets the spotlight, the band brings the vibe, the drinks keep flowing, and the city comes alive under the sunset!
Come ready to listen, connect, vibe, create, and witness the kind of night people will talk about long after it’s over.
