Systemic Family Constellations Workshop - Cornwall

This in-person day offers a unique opportunity to explore the hidden dynamics of your family system and uncover unconscious patterns that may be affecting your life. Whether you're new to constellations or already familiar, you're warmly welcome. The workshop takes place in the beautiful Scorrier House and offers a supportive space for personal insight and deep connection.

What is Systemic Family Constellations?

Systemic Family Constellations is a powerful, embodied process for exploring personal and ancestral issues. Developed by Bert Hellinger and colleagues, this solution-focuses approach draws on traditional Zulu wisdom and reveals how unresolved trauma, loyalties, and entanglements in our family systems can shape our lives.

Constellations work with the felt and often invisible wounds of transgenerational trauma. Through a process of radical inclusion, they reveal hidden dynamics—missing elements, entangled patterns, and systemic imbalances—and open pathways towards resolution and healing.

The work is grounded in the ‘Orders of Love’: Place, Time & Space, Belonging, and Exchange. When these principles are disrupted, imbalances can echo across generations and create challenges in the present.

Constellations engage the body, heart, mind, and soul to bring into view what needs to be seen, honoured, and given its rightful place. They help shift stuck patterns, release what isn’t yours, and offer new possibilities. By seeing the bigger picture and accessing deeper resources, you are supported to restore balance and step more fully into life.

What happens in a workshop?

We begin with a short grounding practice. If you'd like to explore a personal issue, you may offer your name to be drawn as an issue holder. Typically, we explore 3–4 issues during the day.

Each constellation starts with a brief conversation between the facilitator and the issue holder. Group members are then invited to stand as ‘representatives’ for people, places, or elements of the issue. As they take their positions, a living map of the system emerges. Insight arises through the ‘knowing field’—an embodied field of awareness accessed through presence, sensation, and subtle feeling.

There is no acting or storytelling. Representatives simply report their internal experience—emotions, sensations, movements—which helps bring unconscious dynamics into view and opens the way for resolution and healing.

The workshop takes place in a supportive, inclusive space where everyone participates—whether as issue holder, representative, or witness. The experience is often profoundly moving, respectful, and quietly transformative.

Everyone will participate in some way. While only a few people will explore their own issues, many find the most profound insights come from representing or witnessing others' constellations.

No previous experience is necessary, and there’s no way to ‘do it wrong.’ All we ask is that you bring curiosity, respect, and a willingness to engage.

The facilitator

Alice Laskey is a Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years' experience in mental health and emotional wellbeing. She has worked across the NHS, private, and education sectors. Alice takes an integrative approach that draws on multiple therapeutic modalities and works creatively with body, heart, mind and soul. She specialises in trauma and systemic work with women and families.

Since 2017, she has been involved in systemic constellations, and trained as an advanced level facilitator with the Centre for Systemic Constellations (CSC). Alice was born in West Africa and now lives in Cornwall with her husband and children. She brings warmth, depth, and clarity to her facilitation.
