About this Event
How is your relationship with your Father? Good? Difficult? A Mess?
Our families of origin are the very first system we experience.
Our parents, as our primary caretakers, are our first emotional role models.
Difficulties, or absence in these relationships has a longlasting effect on our wellbeing and our relationships with others.
Whether our relationship with our father, or other family members is positive or not, patterns of behaviour that we adopted to enable us to belong to, be accepted by, and survive in this system have a lasting effect on our lives - sometimes helpful and sometimes detrimental.
We may be aware of the more obvious difficulties and want to make these relationships better. There are also other deeper, less obvious entanglements which can appear symptomatically, such as addiction, depression, negative patterns in your present relationships, illness, and anxiety are just a few.
When we want to change these patterns in ourselvesand create better relationships with our fathers/families , Systemic Constellation work gives us an opportunity to explore the hidden dynamics in the system, giving us insights, and real movement towards long lasting change.
Note: The theme of this workshop is fathers, but you can also join and work on any issue.
No previous experience is needed to join - all you need is some curiosity & an open mind. However, if you are currently experiencing any acute mental health issues, then constellation work may not be right for you at this time.
At the workshop you can be involved in different ways: - as an issue holder, where you bring an issue you want to work on; - or as a representative, where you may be called on to represent different aspects in the issue holders constellation; - or as a participant who comes to just experience the process. All those present benefit from the work.
We will work in a small group and all work is 100% confidential. All my workshops are LGBTQI friendly.
During the day we will have breaks at various points that fit with the flow of work. Drinks and some snacks will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch - there is a small shop next door but no takeaways nearby. Parking is available on the street at the venue, which is a small community room linked to the shop at Midgley.
Investment in your healing: This month there are 3 payment options. When deciding which amount fits your needs please also be considate of mine.
If you are lucky enough to afford the higher rates please leave the lower price places for those who are less able to pay. Thank you.
