Join us for the 32nd session of the Syracuse Actors Studio, which will be "Making a Movie About Making a Movie"

We will be making a movie at the Syracuse Actors Studio October event, as well as a docu/mockumentary about it, and you are invited to participate.
The film is called "M**der at the Movies," written and directed by Joe Cunningham, with a story by Jay Merante & Joe Cunningham, and produced by Amy Loos Films in cooperation with Syracuse Actors Studio. It’s basically Columbo in 1949 with a comedic twist.
Jeff Bryant, an amazing filmmaker and SAS Tech Committee Chair, will be producing and directing the docu/mockumentary about the making of the film at the same time. It’s going to be a lot of fun! Both films will premiere at SASFest 2027!
Every actor will get to be a part of the films either as cast or crew (and crew will be cast for the mockumentary). All actors & crew will be required to sign an image & liability release before shooting. We will post details about casting & crew calls, costumes, props needed, the script (it’s really a scriptment), and other announcements related to the film and what you will need to be part of it. There are some written lines but room for a lot of improv acting.

Film credit and IMDb credit are provided. No payment is available to any cast or crew, as this is an independent, micro-budget film. No free food is provided, but concessions are available for purchase to support our host, The Palace Theatre.
