Synod Gathering 2026 is more than a meeting. It is an invitation. An invitation to come & see what God is doing among us—and to be sent out ready to go & tell.For three days (Thursday-Saturday, May 28-30), church members, deacons, pastors, ministry partners, and church professionals will gather on the beautiful campus of Lenoir-Rhyne University to worship boldly, learn deeply, celebrate courageously, and imagine faithfully.
So, come & see:
*Creative, spirit-filled worship
*Workshops designed to spark imagination and practical ministry tools
*Strategic mission updates that show how God is moving across our congregations
*A synod block party at Shaw Plaza with dinner, laughter, and community with our agencies and institutions
*Morning prayer shaped by partners visiting from our companion synod in Papua New Guinea
*Spiritual practices centered on story and discernment
*A large group session with Bishop Emily Hartner
