Swim A Mile | Move A Mile for Women with Cancer

Swim A Mile | Move A Mile for Women with Cancer returns May 9–10, 2026 at Trefethen Aquatics Center in Oakland!

For more than 30 years, this community-powered event has brought swimmers, walkers, teams, and families together to move a mile in honor of loved ones and to help fund free services for women with cancer across Alameda and Contra Costa counties.

Participants can:

• Swim a mile in the pool
• Water walk
• Complete a mile outdoors
• Create a team and fundraise together
• Join in honor or memory of someone they love

This is more than a fitness event. It is a weekend filled with music, community, great food, team spirit, and a shared commitment to making sure local women and families have access to patient navigation, support groups, wellness classes, and emergency financial assistance.
