Swift Walk 3- High Dane

To mark Swift Awareness Week (27 June – 5 July), we’re running a series of evening Swift Walks in Hitchin. Each walk takes place in an area with several nest sites, giving us an excellent chance to watch screaming parties racing around the rooftops and, with luck, see swifts darting in and out of their nests.
It’s a brilliant time of year to enjoy these incredible birds. Everyone is welcome — it’s free, and there’s no need to book.
All walks run from 8–9pm
1. Wilton Road – Monday 29 June Corner of Wilton Rd and Whitehurst Ave, SG5 1SS
2. Gaping Lane – Tuesday 30 June Corner of Bedford St and Gaping Lane, SG5 2JE
3. High Dane – Wednesday 1 July Corner of Tristram Rd and High Dane, SG4 0BA
Meeting point: Corner of Tristram Rd and High Dane SG4 0BA. There is usually easy free parking on the street
Come along, bring a friend, and enjoy an hour watching one of Hitchin’s most spectacular summer sights.
