Set in nineteenth-century London, Sweeney Todd follows a barber consumed by a desire for revenge and the pie shop owner whose fortunes change in the most shocking of ways. What unfolds is a gripping tale that has captivated audiences around the world for decades.
Performed by an extraordinary cast of young artists from across the Pikes Peak region, this production is the culmination of the Colorado Springs Conservatory's annual Musical Theatre Intensive, where students work alongside professional mentors to bring one of musical theatre's most celebrated works to life.

Sweeney Todd: School Edition features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Hugh Wheeler, based on the adaptation by Christopher Bond. The original Broadway production was directed by Harold Prince, with orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick.
