We are the medicine! Come sing, pray & connect with your ancestors through the a sacred non-traditional sweat lodge purification ceremony. Afterwards we will have a group integration around a sacred fire.
What is sweat lodge?
Sweat Lodge is a spiritual tradition practiced by indigenous peoples across the planet as a symbol of the womb of Mother Earth, of purification and rebirth. This lodge was constructed with local bamboo and natural blankets (no tarps or plastic). The “ancestor” stones are heated in the sacred fire and brought into the lodge where water is poured over them creating steam. Drums are played and prayers are sang with intention of honoring our ancestors, ourselves, and the past and future generations.
Who is pouring lodge?
My name is Rob Webster and I am the guardian of the land at Sanctuary and a sacred pipe carrier. It is my honor to pour and pray in a good way with great respect to all nations and indigenous peoples, sending prayers of gratitude, peace and love for all my relations, mitakuye oyasin. I have much gratitude and respect for the gracious teachings of my elders, guides and loved ones. I have built this lodge and altar with my own hands with the support of brothers and sisters of the community and have been pouring lodge for the last 5 years. I began this journey after experiencing a life changing transformational temezcal in Mexico and training under the guidance of several lodge pourers who have blessed this land and this lodge. My intention is to hold a safe, grounded container that is open to everyone seeking purification and connection with our ancestors through the elements and blessings of the Creator. This ceremony is open to all cultures and walks of life to come together in prayer. Aho

All donations go directly to the Sundance Sanctuary religious non profit and are used for ceremonies and improvement of the land.
