About this Event
Join Dr Renee for a festive science session with a planet-positive twist! In this creative, family-friendly workshop, children will discover how to turn leftover Christmas wrapping paper into their very own mini wind turbine. Itโs the perfect way to celebrate the season, spark curiosity, and learn how small actions can make a big difference for our environment.
โญ What to expect
- A fun, guided activity transforming waste wrapping paper into a working wind turbine model
- Simple science explained in an engaging way kids can understand
- A chance to learn about renewable energy, recycling, and sustainability
- Children take home their handmade turbine to keep experimenting
๐ Who is it for?
Ideal for primary-aged children (approx. 6โ12) and their families.
๐ Why a Sustainable Christmas?
After the holiday excitement, wrapping paper often ends up in the bin. Weโll turn it into something new, showing children that repurposing waste can be fun and creative, and introducing renewable energy in a memorable way.
