Sustainability in Design Luncheon Panel
About this Event
CREW Hawaii is highlighting sustainability in design initiatives with a panel of architect and construction firms actively innovating in the space. Moderated by Mia Checkley of Swinerton, the panel will also feature Aaron Yamasaki from Swinerton, and Dean Sakamoto of Dean Sakamoto Architects LLC and founder of SHADE . Held at the Swinerton office in Downtown Honolulu, the event will display samples of Mass Timber for guests to experience with catered lunch. The conversation will look to highlight speakers’ respective work in the space of sustainability in design, review recent projects, discuss thoughts on the benefits of the marketplace utilizing materials such as mass timber more frequently, and work across the State to repurpose invasive species into design material.
