About this Event

The SURGE Youth Summit is a signature youth development experience held as part of the 4th Annual YMOD Takeover Weekend, November 13–15, 2026. The summit brings together middle and high school students for an empowering day focused on leadership, personal growth, education, wellness, mentorship, and future readiness.

Through engaging breakout sessions, interactive workshops, keynote speakers, group activities, and meaningful conversations, participants will explore topics that directly impact their lives and futures. Sessions are designed to strengthen leadership and communication skills, encourage healthy decision-making, promote social and emotional well-being, increase college and career awareness, and help young people recognize their individual potential.

The SURGE Youth Summit creates a supportive environment where youth are encouraged to speak up, connect, learn, and lead. Participants have opportunities to engage with positive role models, connect with their peers, discover community resources, and gain practical tools they can use at school, at home, and throughout their communities.

As a key component of the 4th Annual YMOD Takeover Weekend, the SURGE Youth Summit reflects the weekend’s larger commitment to youth empowerment, mentorship, community collaboration, and creating opportunities for the next generation. By bringing together youth, mentors, educators, professionals, and community organizations, the summit demonstrates what is possible when a community intentionally invests in its young people.
