Animal Future is a Fort Collins, Colorado based band, with the raw energy and socially conscious grit reminiscent of IDLES, their sound moves from indie rock to grungy pop and old-school punk, with Radiohead-esque soundscapes adding a layer of unpredictability. Think Modest Mouse, Pixies, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, with a vocalist who can belt Paramore-level power or let loose raw, unapologetic screams, that’ll keep you guessing. Consisting of Tani Jade (vocals) David Kislik (lead guitar) Alex Gonzalez (bass) Billy DeGuzman (rhythm guitar) and Hernando Torrealba (Drums) the band continues to impress audiences with vulnerable lyrics based on real life experiences, and explosively magnetic live performances that make it nearly impossible to take your eyes off the stage. With each band member regularly listening to different genres and styles of music, it is hard to pin point exactly what makes a Pretty Pity song, just that. In each track you’ll notice influences of Metal with heavy guitars and complicated riffage, Pop Punk flares in the drums, a Classic Rock feel to the thick bass lines, and glimmers of Pop music encased within the melodies. Making each song entirely its own.
