About this Event
Join us for this regional Creative Health event focusing on Cheshire West. The creative health sector is making a significant contribution to people’s health and wellbeing. Creative health activities can be found in health and care settings, in the community, in cultural and heritage venues and at educational sites. A wide range of creative health activity is happening across the region and this event is an opportunity to scope the key players, cultural and voluntary organisations that make up the Creative Health Ecology in Cheshire West. We will also be discussing what is needed and next steps for Cheshire West. We welcome you to be a part of this conversation.
At this event Elaine (Creative Health Associate for the Northwest) invites creative advocates from across the region to speak about their experience of creative health to support the wellbeing of people and the cultivation of creative citizens.
This event is hosted by the National Centre for Creative Health Associates Programme. This Programme, funded by Arts Council England, aims to deliver a step change in delivering creative health across England, through knowledge exchange and relationship development. There is a Creative Health Associate in each NHS England Region, hosted by an Integrated Care Board.
This event is aimed at those in the Northwest working within the creative health, NHS, Integrated Care Systems, and Local Authorities.

About the National Centre for Creative Health (NCCH)
NCCH aims to advance good practice and research, inform policy and promote collaboration, helping to foster the conditions for creative health to be integral to health and social care and wider systems. It was set up in response to Recommendation 1 in the APPG AHW report: Creative Health: The Arts for Health and Wellbeing and became a registered charity in 2020.
About the Creative Health Review
The National Centre for Creative Health (NCCH) and the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Arts, Health and Wellbeing Creative Health Review report offers a set of recommendations on how policy can embrace creative health. This landmark report evidences how creative health can form an integral part of a health and social care system aimed at reducing health inequalities and building social capital. https://ncch.org.uk/creative-health-review
About the Creative Health Toolkit
The National Centre for Creative Health (NCCH) has worked in partnership with NHS England Personalised Care Team and Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) in Gloucestershire; Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin; Suffolk and North East Essex; and West Yorkshire, to develop this toolkit to support other ICSs to embed creative health in their systems. The toolkit considers the enablers and barriers and illustrates how systems can deliver against the forthcoming NHS England Maturity Matrix for Social Prescribing, with reference to five domains: Leadership, Strategy & Governance; Planning & Commissioning; Workforce Development; Digital & Technology; and Evidence & Impact. https://www.creativehealthtoolkit.org.uk/
