Support Systems: Hips to ShouldersOur hips, spine, and shoulders are constantly working together to help us carry, reach, push, pull, and move through daily life. When these areas aren't well connected, we often feel it as tension, instability, or effort that seems to come from the wrong places.
This 6-week series explores how the body creates support from the hips through the core and into the shoulders. Rather than isolating parts, we'll focus on how strength is shared across the body so movement feels more coordinated, efficient, and sustainable.
Over the session, you'll be introduced to different anatomical relationships (such as hips to core, core to shoulders, and how the arms interact with the rest of the body), guiding you to notice how force travels, where support is picked up or lost, and how small shifts can changes how movement feels.
This series is ideal for those who:
- notice tension in the neck, shoulders, or back during movement
- want to feel stronger and more supported through the upper body, or
- are curious how the lower and upper body work together in everyday tasks
No prior yoga experience required. This is about understanding how your body distributes effort, so you can move with more support and less strain.
