Brooke Eichele has dealt with ongoing stomach issues for quite some time. More recently, symptoms have become more intense. Although Brooke has consulted with many physicians over the years, there have not been clear answers. To help provide more insight, Brooke had a colonoscopy in the beginning of June. During the colonoscopy a 13 cm mass was found in her lower colon. That set off many subsequent scans, doctor’s appointments, and a lung biopsy. On June 20, Brooke received a call that no one should ever receive. It was determined she has stage 4 colorectal cancer. There will be many next steps including chemotherapy. Although this is not the outcome anyone wanted, there are now answers and a plan. Brooke is responding to this news in true Brooke style - let’s do this. Positive, tenacious and ready to battle.
