Supper & Stories - A Likewise Community Supper Club

Who we are
Likewise is a community centre based in South Hampstead/Swiss Cottage, with a focus on community connection, wellbeing and mental health. Our aim is to create spaces and places where anyone can receive support, and anyone can belong. We believe that we all have something to learn, and we all have something to offer, and that real change happens when we can meet people as people. Our Community Kitchen is at the heart (or stomach!) of that vision - a warm and homely gathering point, where cooking and sharing food together supports us to connect with others, grow together and just have a lovely time!

Supper & Stories

Supper & Stories is an extension of this vision - a vibrant space where we can all come together to cook, enjoy the food, and contribute - whether it's an unusual twist on a recipe, a funny story, or just a simple hand in preparing the meal. If you're looking to elevate your dinner experience after work, want to be more confident in the kitchen, or just keen to make new connections, this is the supper club for you!

Supper & Stories - Need-to-Knows:

When: Sessions start on the 7th of January, 2026 and roll every Wednesday, except for the third Wednesday of each month (check out our calendar below)

Where: At the Likewise Community Hub & Kitchen - Likewise Community, 8 Fairhazel Gardens, London, NW6 3SG

Time: 5:30 - 7:30 PM, we recommend arriving at around 5:15-5:20 to settle in, have a cup of tea, and meet the group!

Capacity: Up to 20 attendees, with space for newcomers each week!

What to Expect
Each Supper & Stories session will centre around a themed meal and co-created cooking session, facilitated by one of our 'Supper Hosts' here at the Likewise Hub and Community Kitchen.

You'll join us as we gather round the table to help prepare budget-friendly, healthy, and culturally diverse meals in a laid-back, family-style setting. No cooking skills required - just pop on in and grab yourself an apron! The only goal is to get stuck in, enjoy the meal, and enjoy the company.

Sessions will loosely follow the structure below, with a pinch of salt for the beauty and unpredictable chaos of togetherness:

Gathering

We encourage arrivals at 5:15-5:20 so you can make yourself a cup of team, tour the space, and meet others. Our Supper Hosts will then start off with a group check-in, some introductions, housekeeping, and a briefing on the evening's theme and recipe!

Prep

Supper hosts will help assign the group roles and tasks before we all jump into cooking. No job is little, and we can all help each other out as we go along.

Dinner

Once the meal is cooked, it's dinner time! We'll sit down together and enjoy the feast family-style, you'll receive some conversation prompts and props from our Supper Hosts to help wash down the evening with some fun, laughter, and connection.
