Join us on Thursday, April 17th at 7:00 PM for our Sunset Performance Series featuring LeJuane (El’Ja) Bowens. This performance, titled Finding Space in a Void, is sure to be a captivating performance, showcasing Bowens’ impressive vocal range and emotional depth.The Sunset Performance Series features performances that connect art and social justice, taking place next to the Boundless sculpture by Stephen Hayes in the PNC USCT Park. Free for the community.

About LeJuane (El’Ja) Bowens:
An award-winning spoken word artist, poet, and author, El’Ja Bowens has captivated audiences nationwide, with performances at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, National Folk Festival, Big Ears Festival, and many more. His work bridges art and social justice, offering thought-provoking narratives that resonate deeply.
He is the founder/director for the Southeast Regional NC Poetry Festival in Fayetteville, NC and he has featured on Poetry Slam Inc and All Def Poetry on YouTube. He also hosts Nerd Slam competitions at numerous comicons across the US. He also has featured in the documentary, Talking Black in America: Performance Traditions.
