Sunrise Meeting: Speaker, Andrea Ferriera, Broward PACE

Andrea is the Community Outreach Specialist for the Broward PACE Programs. She will describe the services they offer to the elderly, particularly those who suffer from dementia.The Broward PACE Program, sponsored by Broward Health, helps seniors avoid nursing home care by creating an individualized care plan to maintain health and quality of life.The PACE team coordinates medical appointments, medications, and care needs. They also offer Adult Day Care, including transportation to and from the center, meals and snacks, and activities as part of your enrollment.
The PACE team includes:
- Primary care physicians
- Medical specialists
- Dentists
- Nurses
- Physical therapists
- Occupational therapists
- Recreational therapists
- Social workers
- Dietitians
- Home care coordinators
- Site directors
- Shuttle bus drivers
