Sunfisher is the shiny new alt-country-rock thing on the Boston scene, though you’ll have to brush off a little dirt and tumbleweed to see it.
Born of an absolute obsession with making music since his earliest days in Nashville listening to his dad singing Hank sr. on an ancient and unforgiving guitar, Scot stole his dad’s new and more forgiving guitar and formed Sunfisher with some guys equally obsessed and experienced with making music. It’s one way country music might have ended up if it didn’t take those wild turns down some safe and less wild avenues round about the mid 70s.
Scot (ex Sparklehorse), Eric (Resurectionists), Jay (Sand Machine), Brian (Laney Ryan/Kier Byrnes), and Patrick ( Bad Actors) are here to right a few wrong turns and wrong a few of the other kind of turns.
