Spain is one of the oldest wine cultures in the world—and one of the most exciting today. In this class, Jonathan Ogden explores how Spain balances deep tradition with a bold, modern voice, revealing a country where ancient vineyards and cutting-edge winemaking coexist.

We’ll travel across Spain—from cool Atlantic regions to sun-soaked plateaus and rugged mountain vineyards—discovering how altitude, climate, and history shape its distinctive styles. You’ll learn key regions, iconic grapes, and how to understand Spanish wine with confidence—without needing a map or a glossary.

During this two-hour class, we’ll taste ten Spanish wines, thoughtfully selected to show both Spain’s classical foundations and its contemporary energy, from familiar benchmarks to thrilling new expressions. Class attendees will have access to preferred pricing on featured bottles following the tasting.
