REFUGE FROM THE STORM
Just as we seek shelter from outer storms —thunderstorms, hurricanes, and blizzards—we also need inner protection from the storms that arise in the mind: inner storms of worry, anxiety, fear, anger, and discouragement and so forth.
In Buddhism, inner protection is known as ‘refuge’ – relying on Buddha’s wisdom to eradicate our fears. Through establishing refuge in our hearts, we are able to generate a self-confident peaceful mind that will carry us through the storms of life.
Each class consists of two guided meditations, a teaching on how to apply Buddha's wisdom to our modern daily life to increase our inner peace.
Everyone welcome. No need to pre-register - just come along!
