Sunday Butoh Workshop with Atsushi Takenouchi

Join us for the 15th Asheville Butoh Festival! We are excited that Atsushi Takenouchi of Jinen Butoh and composer Hiroko Komiya will be our 2025 guests!

This year we are partnering with the University of North Carolina Asheville's Theater Department for two days of workshops and performances. 

Each event of the festival is ticketed separately!

The full UNCA festival schedule is as follows:

Saturday, November 1st: Workshop: 11am – 4pm. Performance by  Atsushi Takenouchi and Hiroko Komiya, 7:30pm

Sunday, November 2nd: Workshop: 11am – 4pm. Performance by the workshop students, 7:30pm

We hope to see you at Sunday's workshop with Atsushi Takenouchi. All levels are welcome!

If you are interested in performing Sunday evening, you must attend BOTH Saturday and Sunday workshops. Performing is not required, and you may take one or both workshops if you do not wish to perform.

The workshops will be held at the Sherrill Center Dance Studio, space 351. Parking information will be available closer to the event.
