Sunday (ad)Venture out to Gunthorpe
About this Event
For the improver/intermediate cyclist this month, we've rustled up a very accessible 24 mile route to Gunthorpe and back. With not too much elevation we'll be heading out to Gamston and Radcliffe-on-Trent, making use of quiet roads and cycle paths, stopping off at the lovely Spouges cafe at Gunthorpe...with plenty of canal tow path joy for our return leg back to the city.
We welcome women of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, we ride at the pace of the slowest rider, stop for breaks whenever you want and promise you will never be alone at the back!
MEETING POINT: 1881 Cafe on Victoria Embankment. Click here for a google pin.
TIME: meet at 9.45am, ready to ride at 10am.
Click here for a link to Komoot for the full route file.
You’ll be in safe hands, we’re experienced ride leaders who love cycling. Before and during the ride we will be sharing all the tips and tricks to get the most out of cycling.
This ride is organised by Women in Tandem, a Community Interest Company based in Nottingham that aims to support and empower women to ride bikes. The session is funded by The National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund.
You won’t need anything fancy, just a bike that rides, comfortable weather-appropriate clothing, water, snacks and some enthusiasm for cycling! Let us know if there is anything we can do to help enable you to join this ride.
Any questions, please get in touch we would love to hear from you.
