For the summer of 2026 Director Michael Fera is coming back to lead a fresh troupe of talented young performers to bring to life an adaption of The Emperor’s New Threads (produced by special arrangement with the Playwrights Guild of Canada) by Peter Anderson and Melody Anderson.
This play is based on the classic Hans Christian Andersen tale, The Emperor’s New Clothes and is a lively, humorous retelling filled with bold characters, clever dialogue, and playful theatricality. The story follows a fashion-obsessed emperor whose vanity makes him vulnerable to two cunning tricksters—until an unexpected voice reveals the truth.
2026 will mark the 13th season of the Summer Theatre Troupe, which has grown into an established platform for aspiring young performers and artists to connect with their peers, learn from professionals in the field and gain valuable performance experience in a supported, professional environment.
