A family-friendly performance to introduce children to the magic of live theatre
About this Event

Place des Arts' Summer Theatre Troupe is a by-audition performance-based company for teens ages 13-17. Each summer, the cast works with a professional theatre director to mount a free, family-friendly production and perform it to the public. Families love the performances, which are adapted for all ages and provide children an introduction to the magic of live theatre.

For the summer of 2026, Director Michael Fera is coming back to lead a fresh troupe of talented young performers in bringing to life The Emperor's New Threads by Peter Anderson and Melody Anderson (produced by special arrangement with the Playwrights Guild of Canada). Based on the beloved Hans Christian Andersen classic.

We are excited to partner with the Coquitlam Public Library this summer:

This show will be taking place at Coquitlam Public Library City Centre Branch (1169 Pinetree Wy, Coquitlam, BC V3B 0Y1)
