Join Outlet PDX and the Honeyed Words Bookstore for a free summer celebration of storytelling on June 27th and 28th from 12-5pm! Summer Story Fest will bring together over 60 zinesters, authors, and other storytellers throughout Sonny’s House, New New Crusher Courtyard, and Atomic Garage’s parking lot. 

Folks coming through during the Summer Story Fest weekend will find a sprawling map of artists and authors, delicious drinks by the Ko’Ko’ mobile cafe, and drop-in workshops - no reservations or experience required! Join Honeyed Words, a queer & trans bookstore inside Sonny’s House, for walk-in tattoos, a physical media swap, and shelves full of queer favorites. Visit Outlet PDX, a local risograph print shop, for drop-in zine and button-making activities, or take some time to browse their zine library.

Leading up to the weekend, join us to learn new bookbinding skills and alternate zine forms. We’ll have an Accordion and Lotus Fold Books Workshop for beginners from Camilla Watson, Bookbinding Basics with Seltzer Press, and an advanced RISO Cut Paper Accordion Zines with Erika Rier.
